Top 5 St Tropez Places to Eat – Elle’s Choice

Last week Elle published its top five most exciting places to eat in St Tropez, so we thought we’d share the magazine’s recommendations with you.

As the list, complied by journalist Rachel Fielder, literally only came out yesterday the team at St Tropez House has not had time to check all the restaurants. But you can be assured that we intend to do so as soon as the restaurants open for the season, and we recommend you do too!

According to Elle, the most exciting place to eat in St Tropez in 2015 is La Pesquiere, 1 rue Remparts, where you will find a “cozy” and “chilled out” atmosphere and garlic calamari to die for!

The next restaurant to warrant a mention in Elle’s article is the Pizzeria Bruno, situated a short walk from some of our more central villas to rent in St Tropez, at 2 rue de l’Eglise. Pizza restaurants are two a penny in France, but not Chez Bruno’s, where locals flock to eat. The pizza topped with local seafood is said to be a menu standout.

For something slightly more exotic Elle recommends that you head to The Pearl Beach, just outside the centre of St Tropez, for a menu with a South East Asian twist. The beach-side restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner in the high season, enjoys a wonderful spot on Bouillabaisse beach and some of the best Thai Tiger prawns outside Thailand.
Back into the heart of St Tropez and the next restaurant on Elle’s list is Le Sporting, in Places des Lices. This popular yet “unpretentious” brasserie is always packed with locals and for one good reason: the food is delicious.

Finally last but certainly not least is the Brasserie des Arts, which is also situated in the central Place des Lices. Pop in here for a delicious yet simple lunch after a browse in the Place des Lices market every Saturday morning and you can’t go wrong.
