The iconic coastal village of St Tropez will light up every summer with international fanfare and stardom thanks to a new celebrity gala, ‘Evening of Discovery’, which calls upon the most A-list guests to assist in raising mental health awareness globally.
This world-class event was hosted by the Aurora Institute, a non-profit organisation whose mission is dedicated to solving the mental health crisis and spreading global awareness about this grave issue. In order to realise this vision the institute joined forces with mental health initiative MYND in order to present this large-scale, multi-faceted event. Thrown by artist Mouna Rebiez and supported by investors and tech entrepreneurs Henry & Souraya Chalhoub, Christian Angermayer and Louise Tabbiner, this non-profit event took form and wowed all those who attended.
This Saint Tropez 2022 summer evening took place in the extraordinary Belle Epoque palace Le Beauvallon which sits against the beautiful backdrop of Saint Tropez. The event included stunning visual art installations, unique sculptures, relaxation areas with access to sound healing and live performances by top names such as rapper and songwriter Tinie Tempah. The awe then took to the skies with a one-of-a-kind drone show, sending 300 luminous drones into the Saint Tropez sky!
Turkish-American new media artist Refik Anadol also debuted his new software-based art titled ‘Sense of Healing: Al Data Paining A’. This one-of-a-kind piece is described as a ‘meditative art based on neurological data’. It visits fundamental issues and questions of the human mind and the power of visualisation tools as a form of healing.

Each exhibit, interactive art installation and performance were centered around the theme of mental health and wellness. This event served and will continue to serve as a powerful platform for fundraising and drawing global attention to this fundamental issue. As an invitation-only event welcoming over 500 international guests, the celebrity guest list was quite long and included; Queen Latifah, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Robbie Williams, Kevin Love, Ellen von Unwerth, Frida Aasen and Rob Raco to name a few.
