Saint Tropez is famous for its highly exclusive and luxurious beach clubs, some of which have been around longer than many of its residents – and certainly us.
For example, the legendary Tahiti Beach Club opened on Pampelonne Beach in 1946, with celebrities favourite Club 55 being established a short distance away on the same stretch of sand some nine years later – in 1955.
And as much as we love the old institutions of Saint Tropez, it is always very exciting when new places open up.
This season, there are two notable new additions to the beach scene in Saint Tropez just a short stroll away from many of our luxury villas for rent and sale near Pampelonne Beach.
The first new beach restaurant to have caught our eye is Riva Plage, which opened its doors to customers at the beginning of the season. Situated along the Patch stretch of Pampelonne Beach close to our premier properties for sale and rent such as Villa Coba and Modernity, it is a welcome addition to the more established clubs along this stretch of coast.
Refreshingly designed with bright turquoise parasols and white wooden bar, Riva Plage appeals to the relaxed holidaymaker who enjoys hanging out in a lounge atmosphere listening to some cool tunes. The food is pretty awesome too. Prepared by young chef Teddy Evrat, the menu is as extensive and the flavours offered.
For the moment there is no website for this up and coming address by tables and sun loungers can be booked by calling +33 (0) 4 94 79 96 95.
Another new restaurant to be making waves this summer is Bagatelle, which had its first season last year and is fast becoming one of the favourites on this stretch of Pampelonne Beach close to Route d’Epi.
After the success of their restaurants in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, St Barths and Sao Paolo, owners Aymeric Clemente and Remi Laba decided to bring the concept to Saint Tropez, and with every month it is open, its reputation grows.
