Fashionistas won’t be disappointed when they visit Saint Tropez this summer. Chanel is back in town; but this time, with a difference.
For the last six years Chanel has come on an extended holiday to the popular resort on the Cote d’Azur, setting up shop at La Mistralée, a private mansion located on Avenue General Leclerc in the heart of Saint Tropez.
And each year, Chanel creates a new look for its pop up shop, with this year’s style being very much monochrome in stark contrast to the bright multi-colours of 2014.
For summer 2015, each room in the grandiose private residence has been painted in one colour, from the lobby to the central verrière with its rotunda ceiling and giant gold camellia. There are hues of burgundy, blue, mustard yellow and mint green plastered over the walls of individual rooms to wonderful effect. In fact, the Chanel pop-up shop is this year so stunning that even those who prefer not to shop whilst on holiday in Saint Tropez should take a look in.
But for those of you staying in one of our luxury holiday rental properties near St Tropez centre with a penchant for Chanel, let us give you a bit of a guided tour so you will know where to head when you enter the shop.
Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection can be found in the lobby, which has been painted a rather Saint Tropezienne navy blue.
Accessories and shoes have been arranged in an adjoining ‘pink’ room whilst watches from the Premiere, J12 and Mademoiselle Privé collections can be located on a central display in the middle of the verrière. Meanwhile, outside in the pool house, visitors to the pop-up shop will find a full range of Chanel’s beauty and skincare products, fragrances and swimwear.
The Chanel boutique is open from 10 am to 8pm until October 2015.
