After a week of rather disappointing weather it looks like spring has finally spring in the South of France, with temperatures of up to the early 20C in Saint Tropez last weekend.
And about time too! The winter seems to have gone on and one this year, and the warm weather will be hugely welcomed by locals and those coming to Saint Tropez for their Easter holidays.
The Easter break is traditionally very popular with holidaymakers hoping to catch an early glimpse of the sun, and those coming to luxury villa rentals this year should not be disappointed. Long term forecasts – which we realize are not always 100 per cent reliable – predict that those spending Easter Day in Saint Tropez can expect a beautiful sunny day with temperatures of up to 17C.
So, you’ve booked your last minute Easter deal in Saint Tropez House villas such as Bastide de Belieu and Kalliste just minutes by the emerald blue sea, but what activities should you line up to ensure maximum enjoyment for everyone?
Here is our list of top five things to do this Easter in Saint Tropez:
- Organise an Easter egg hunt in the garden of your rental villa. Many of our St Tropez House properties such as Kalliste are perfect for egg hiding as this five bedroom house is set in a beautiful landscaped garden of 3,100m2.
- Treat yourself to a special Easter meal in one of the many restaurants and hotels which come to life after the winter during this busy time of year. For example, why not spoil yourself at the exceptional L’Olivier Restaurant in Le Bastide de Saint Tropez.
- Saint Tropez is a Mecca for artists and art lovers and this Easter, visitors will get the chance to see an exhibition by German sculptor Klaus Meister and le Lavoir Vasserot, in rue Joseph Vasserot, until April 15th.
- No Easter in Saint Tropez for us would be complete without a walk to Plage de l’ Escalet, a hidden stretch of magical coastline near some of our most secluded waterfront properties.
- Equally, no Bank Holiday Monday would be quite right without stopping for an afternoon apero at one of the cafes surrounding the Place des Lices to watch the world go round. Beware, in France, Easter Monday is a bank holiday but Good Friday is not.
