Cannes Film Festival is sadly over for another year, but before we pass on to the next social whirl that is summer on the Cote d’Azur, let us reflect a moment on the biggest event in the movie calendar.
OK, there were some great movies shown, and yes, some new talent was no doubt undiscovered, but what we really want to know was who looked good and who would have won if the Palme d’Or was presented to the best dressed stars.
If the team at St Tropez House were sitting on the jury for the best dressed actresses at Cannes Film Festival this year, our votes would have gone to:
Blake Lively

The American actress looked a million dollars when she appeared on the red carpet in Cannes in a majestic black and white Gucci Premiere dress. She then trumped again in a stunning white showstopper by Chanel Couture.
Chloe Moretz
Natural beauty Chloe Moretz celebrated her coming of age at Cannes in a stunning Chanel ensemble which she wore with confidence and grace at the premiere of her new film Clouds of Sils Maria in which she stars alongside Kristen Stewart and Juliette Binoche.
Suki Waterhouse
It was a great Cannes Film Festival for British born actress Suki Waterhouse, who shone throughout the fortnight in dresses by well-known designers like Christian Dior as well as relatively unknown brands such as Peter Pilotto.
Rosie Huntington Whiteley
Another British star to steal the show was actress and model Rosie Huntington Whiteley, who wowed the crowds lining the red carpet in sensations by Emilio Pucci, Gucci Premiere and Cushnie et Ochs.
Sofia Coppola
Although at Cannes this year to work – the award-wining director sat on the Palme d’Or jury – Sofia Coppola looked every inch the superstar in a string of stunning dresses from Marc Jacobs to Valentino.
