There is just one day to go until the launch of the 23rd Monaco Yacht Show, the greatest yachting extravaganza on earth which takes places a short prestigious helicopter charter away from our luxury villas in Saint Tropez.
The prestigious yachting event, which showcases more than one hundred of the world’s most beautiful superyachts, will open its doors to the public tomorrow at 10am in Port Hercules, at the foot of the Prince’s Palace in Monaco.
And although the Principality of Monaco is some two hours by car from our portfolio of St Tropez House luxury rental properties, you could be at the show in a mere 20 minutes if you reserve a private helicopter to take you there.
The heliport in Monaco is just a stone’s throw away from the exhibition, which runs until Saturday and is expected to draw crowds of more than 30,000 people.
The Monaco Yacht Show has become one of the yachting industry’s most important events on the calendar, with more than 500 exhibitors descending on the principality to present their products, be that a brand new superyacht, tender toy or luxury service linked to boats.
This year, proceedings will begin a day earlier than normal for the first ever Monaco Yacht Summit, which is being held today. The summit, being held in the Grimaldi Forum on the waterfront five minutes from the port, aims to provide an annual forum for the yachting world where issues of importance to yacht owners and buyers can be addressed.
If buying a superyacht is not really on your ‘To do List of 2013’, the Monaco Yacht Show is still a fabulous day out from one of our luxury villas in Saint Tropez. The boats lined up along the port are an impressionable sight, and it’s a real pleasure to wander along the quay to soak up the atmosphere.
And on Thursday, the British Red Arrows will be making an entrance in the skies over Monaco at around 2pm, so this is a great time to come.
