St Tropez enjoys a reputation of being something of a party town, with the likes of Sir Elton John, Kate Moss and Zac Efron having been spotted in bars and restaurants in and around the former fishing village in just the last few weeks.
The picturesque town on the Golf of St Tropez and the magnificent stretch of golden beaches close by are packed with a huge range of beach bars and nightlife, but if you want to bump into Kate and her entourage, for example, then you need to know where to go.
Below is a guide for our clients who have chosen to rent a house in Saint Tropez:
• CLUB 55, PAMPELONNE
Club 55 is where all the celebs hang out, so if you really do want to dine amongst the likes of Zac Efron when you rent a house in Saint Tropez, make sure you reserve a table here. This club on the famous Pampelonne Beach has been a favourite with film stars ever since it was adopted by Brigitte Bardot as the set canteen in the 1950s when the bikini-clad beauty filmed ‘And God Created Woman’ nearby. The food is simple and fresh, with a large range of mouth-watering salads and appetisers such as breaded calamari and Beluga caviar. www.club55.fr
• NIKKI BEACH, PAMPELONNE
Nikki Beach – which incidentally isn’t on the beach but approximately 500 metres away from the golden sand of Pampelonne Beach – is the place to come to party in St Tropez, so be sure to check out the extensive programme when you choose one of our houses in Saint Tropez to rent. The club, which has outfits all over the world, hosts a number of themed evenings such as Brazil night or Spartacus which take place around the club’s pool. But whether there to enjoy a particular event or just to while the hours away lounging on a poolside bed, there’s no place quite like it. www.nikkibeach.com
• VIP ROOM, ST TROPEZ
This haunt is an institution situated in the heart of Saint Tropez and a must if you like to party when you rent a house in Saint Tropez. The VIP Room is a supper and dance club to where a number of leading DJs and artists come in the summer months to play. The VIP Room also features regular art exhibits as well as a modern Mediterranean and Italian menu served throughout the night. Like many local clubs in the area, the VIP Room is only open from July to mid-September. www.viproom.fr
