The Antibes Raft Race is back! It is ten years since the Antibes Raft Racers took to the waters of Port Vauban, creating Mayday mayhem in late April on their home-made whacky crafts. Yes, it has taken ten years to recover from the last one, but the Raft Race Team have lashed it together one more time to bring pre-season cheer to the Mediterranean’s largest pleasure port.
The fun starts at noon Saturday, 21st April 2012 at the Yacht Club d’Antibes in Port Vauban. The format is the same as always with the emphasis on fun, safety and charity. Teams, with imaginatively named and outlandish rafts, made up of yacht crew, yacht industry professionals, locally based businesses, first time friends, yes you guessed it…everyone is welcome to enter!
